About the Joomla! CMS

The Joomla! CMS was released in 2005 as a spinoff of a different CMS called Mambo.  At first it was lightly used as a basic content management system, but the included methods for editing text and availability to add function via extensions grew the platform’s popularity very quickly.  Joomla! is now used to build many types of websites, however it is generally limited to web portals, educational institutions, and very large enterprise businesses.  Sandia Digital is capable of designing a website around the Joomla! platform for you and your business, as well as maintain it over time.
